Dell attended a handover at Brescia House where we donated seven laptops to seven of Brescia’s bursary students. Brescia currently fund the students tuition, books and school uniforms. These girls are the only ones in the group of 80 Grade 10 students who do not have a Dell Laptop due to their economic status. Brescia have been an early adopter of Dell’s Connected Classroom strategy and are currently building an extension to the high school that incorporates technology that will deliver more of the technologies and services we have in our portfolio. Next year alone Brescia will include Grades 8, 9 and 10 in the “Laptop-per-Student” project (which equates to 400 machines they will purchase). I think supporting the Bursary students will go a long way in showing Brescia that we are a true partner in education. |
