Take a Girl Child to Work
The annual Take a Girl Child to Work Day initiative has always been welcomed by Dell. We believe in the promotion of women into the IT industry and enjoy being a part of such initiatives. This year, we hosted girl learners from Kwena Malope High School in Lanseria who spent a few hours shadowing employees at our JHB office.
Freedom Day
On the 27th of April 1994 the first democratic election was held in South Africa. Freedom Day celebrations commemorate the liberation of our country and our people.
Human Rights Day
Dell share’s a passion for helping impoverished people and communities. Having access to food remains a basic human right and this Human Rights Day, so we decided to donate some much needed Love Hampers to the Kidz Clinics for abused children.
Christel House South Africa hygiene packs
As part of our back to school program, more than 200 individual hygiene packs were donated to Christel House South Africa (CHSA) and benefitted their female students.
Girl Learner Day at Sci Bono
Sci Bono hosted their annual Girl Learner Day program on 14 August at their centre in Newton, Johannesburg. The ladies from the local Dell office were on hand to present to the young fresh faces who walked into the program. Each class had 60- 120 female learners from the surrounding high school. The girls, between grades 8- 12, were excited about the various presentations and enjoyed the different interactive sessions with the Dell...
