If your organization is a registered NPO, NGO, or Section 21 please see below guidelines:
Primarily Dell gives to non-profit organizations duly registered and validly existing under the laws of the country to support programs that:
- Promote education, and incorporate math, science, literacy, and/or technology skills development for youth
- Promote sustainability and environmental responsibility
- Funded programs must primarily serve populations in areas where Dell employees are located
- Organization must have local registration in possession
- Organization must meet the qualification of a publicly supported charity (in order to be considered a public charity one third of the funding must come from public sources).
Dell Giving grants do not extend to:
- Individuals, including student scholarships
- Academic or research projects
- Religious or political institutions
- School fundraisers
- Capital campaigns, endowments, and annual general operations
- Sponsorships, marketing opportunities, or event fundraisers
- Sports events and organizations
- Political activities and lobbying efforts
Please note:
- Funding requests cannot exceed 20 percent of an organization's total annual operating budget.
- Grants must remain under the financial control of the applying organization and not be re-granted in any way to another charitable organization (unless prior written consent is obtained from Dell).
Dell will approach specific organizations (NPOs and NGOs) and these will be invited by Dell to complete the Youth Connect Vetting application form |
Primary and Secondary Schools: Please note that Dell SA Development fund will not be able to assist schools directly as we are supporting and developing Education through specific projects in cooperation with other Corporate Partners and NGO’s.
Bursaries: Dell Development Fund Grants do not extend support to Individual bursaries/scholarships, however we support a limited number of students through certain Universities and their programs.
