Dell’s Purpose and Values
Each day, across the globe, Dell focuses on
delivering results that make a positive difference,
and we do this not only by leading with openness
and optimism, but by winning with integrity. In fact,
the cornerstone of Dell’s winning culture is based
on its unique relationships that help customers,
employees and communities everywhere to learn
about, give to and connect with one another. The
Dell SA Development Fund (DDF) was created with
the belief that by improving social conditions, Dell
can improve business conditions.
The objective of the DDF is to create literate
and connected communities through access
to education, by supporting entrepreneurial
enterprises and investing in the community to
take care of basic human needs such as nutrition
and healthcare. And we aim to do this by creating
partnerships with employees and government,
as well as our employees’ communities and the
charities they support.
How We Operate
Dell’s Purpose and Values
Dell South Africa invests a percentage of every
Rand spent by customers into the Dell South Africa
Development Fund which comprises initiatives
focusing on Dell’s leading principle, namely
inclusiveness which addresses both internal and
external transformation.
The DDF committee consists of Dell employees
who are involved in making key decisions regarding
budget allocation, while a DDF program office focuses
on and manages transformation activities, including
formulating the guide for its operating principles.
